Who were a source of grief for Isaac and Rebekah? Esau’s Hittite wives
What did Isaac ask Esau to do? Go and hunt some game for him to eat
What did he promise to give Esau before he died? His blessing
Who overheard the plan and made her own plan to deceive Isaac? Rebekah did
How did Rebekah and Jacob deceive Isaac? She prepared food just like Isaac wanted wild game to taste and covered Jacob to feel like Esau (Isaac could not see anymore)
What prophecy did Isaac make concerning Esau? The nation from him would serve the nation from Jacob, but would break free at some point in the future.
This was fulfilled by David conquering Edom (2 Samuel 8:14). Edom rebelled against Judah’s control in the time of Jehoram (2 Kings 8:20).
What did Esau plan to do because Jacob deceived Isaac? Kill Jacob
How did Rebekah circumvent Esau’s intentions? By getting Isaac to send Jacob to Padan Aram to get a wife from her family
Why did Rebekah tell Isaac that she lost the will to live? Because of Esau’s wives and to convince Isaac to send Jacob to her family (far away) to get a wife

Why did Esau marry two daughters of Ishmael? He realized that his Hittite wives were an irritation to his parents and told Jacob to go to Rebekah's family for a wife. He was trying to please Isaac, probably with the hope of getting the blessing to Jacob undone and given to him
What did Jacob see in his dream? a ladder from heaven to earth with angels going up and down on it.
This is fulfilled by Jesus (John 1:51).
What promise did Jacob make and with what condition? Jacob would accept the Lord as his God and give 105 of everything if God would keep him safe, provide food and clothing, and let him return to his father in safety
Where did he make this promise? at Bethel
