Answers to January 25 Questions

Put in your own words what Zophar says in verses 2 and 3. I can't let you get by with rebuking me, and am so sure of what I believe that i have to answer you.

What is Zophar’s main point in this chapter? The wicked may enjoy prosperity and happiness in this life, but it is very short and definitely comes to an end.

According to 21:2, how could Job’s friends comfort him? by listening to him with an open mind and heart

What does Job say about the wicked in 21:7-16? They go through life without suffering very much; they enjoy many things. However, they still reject God, and he isn't like them.

What does Job say about the wicked in 21:17-21? The wicked may be destroyed quickly, but it would be better if they saw more negative consequences to their wrong deeds.

Can you answer Job’s question in 21:22-26? I can't teach God anything. About the issue Job raises, Ecclesiastes 9:10 says that time and chance happen to them all.

What is Job’s point in this chapter? The wicked will certainly be punished for their wrongdoing, but it often does not happen in this life.
