Why did Abram and Lot separate? There was not enough room for their flocks and herds, and their herdsmen were disputing over this problem
What land did Lot choose? The Valley of Siddim near Sodom
What did God promise Abram? The land of Canaan
Why did Abram gather an army together? To rescue Lot who was taken captive along with other residents of Sodom by the kings of Mesopotamia and Persia
Who met with Abram after his victory? Melchizedek
What did he bring to Abram? Bread and wine
What did he say to Abram? He blessed Abram of God Most High and blessed God who helped Abram to triumph
What did Abram do then? He gave Melchizedek 10% of the spoils from battle
What did the king of Sodom offer Abram? All the spoils he acquired from the four kings who acquired it from the residents of Sodom
Why did Abram refuse his offer? He didn’t want people to think the king of Sodom made him rich, and he didn’t want the king of Sodom to think or boast to others that he made Abram rich
