What event is Moses talking about in 4:3-4? God’s punishment of the fornication that the Israelites committed with the Midianite women.

What reaction from the other nations did God desire as a result of Israel’s obedience? For them to say that Israel is truly a wise and understanding people

What sin did Moses forbid? idolatry

How did Moses compare God with the Egyptian gods? They are man-made; God is Creator of all things

What great thing in history is Moses asking about in 4:32? God spoke to the people directly from Heaven

Why did God speak directly from Mount Sinai? To prove that the Lord is the only true God

Where were the three cities of refuge east of the Jordan? Bezer, Ramoth Gilead, and Golan

Where was Moses when he spoke these words of God to Israel? In the wilderness east of the Jordan (in Moab)

With whom did God make a covenant? With the generation that came out of Egypt

Moses emphasized that God did not make a covenant with whom? Not with their fathers

What words did God speak from Mount Sinai? The Ten Commandments

What was Israel’s reaction when God spoke directly from Mount Sinai? They were afraid and promised to do whatever God said; they asked Moses to receive God’s law for them

Oh, that their hearts would be inclined to fear me and keep all my commands always, so that it might go well with them and their children forever!”

What attitude towards the commandments of God is necessary in order to be blessed? Be careful to follow His word exactly; be careful not to change it; do all of what He says.
