What was to be the southern border for Israel? From the Salt sea (Dead Sea) south to ascent of Akribbim (Scorpion Pass); on through Wilderness of Zin to a point south of Kadesh Barnea west to Hazar Addar to Azmon to the Brook of Egypt (Wadi el Areesh) to the Great Sea (Mediterranean Sea)

What was the western border? The Mediterranean Sea

What was the northern border? From the Great Sea to Mount Hor to Lebo Hamath to Zedad, to Ziphron to Hazar Enan

What was the eastern border? From Hazar Enan to Shepham to Ridlah east of Ain down to the east shore of Sea of Chinnereth (Harp Sea, also known as Sea of Galilee) down the Jordan River to the Dead Sea

Who were involved in the apportioning of the land to the various tribes? Joshua, Eleazar, and one leader from each of the tribes still needing their inheritance

How many cities were given to the Levites as a possession? 48

What was special about six of those cities? They were designated as cities of refuge

How could that problem be remedied? Only by the shedding of the blood of the one who shed innocent blood
