What did God have written down? His promise to utterly destroy Amelek
Who met Moses and what was he? Jethro, priest of Midian (father-in-law of Moses)
What problem did he observe in how Moses led the people? Everybody came to Moses to sort out their problems; there would be a long line every day
What solution did he propose? To delegate minor issues to low-level judges, more advanced issues to higher-level judges: levels of ten, fifties, hundreds, and thousands
