What were the people like? Deceitful, hating peace and loving war

What does the Lord NOT do? Sleep or slumber; nor allow your foot to be moved

What is the occasion for Psalm 122? Going to the temple to worship the Lord
What greetings did the Israelites give? "May they prosper who love you. Peace be within your walls,prosperity within your palaces." and “Peace be within you.”
Psalm 123
Where does the psalmist look? To God in Heaven
What mercy does he want from God? The contempt and scorn of those at ease and the proud

What would have happened without God? Opposing armies would have defeated Israel

God’s people are compared to what? Mt. Zion
Why are they happy that the wicked do not rule them? So they do not reach out to iniquity
