Psalm 50

Who are God’s saints? His people, those who have made a covenant with Him

What is the purpose of making sacrifices to God? To glorify God

What sins are listed in God’s rebuke of hypocrites? Stealing, adultery, lying, slander

Psalm 51

What does David ask from God? forgiveness

Against whom did David sin? God

How does David describe a right relationship with God in verses 10-12? A clean heart, a steadfast spirit, in God’s presence, God’s Spirit is with him, salvation, joy

What does David say he will do after he is forgiven? Teach and convert sinners to God

What does God desire instead of sacrifice? A broken spirit, a broken and contrite heart

Psalm 52

Who is David’s enemy in this psalm? Doeg the Edomite (Saul’s royal shepherd)

What metaphor does he use of himself in verse 8? He is a green olive tree in the house of God
