Who moved David to number Israel? Satan
Whom did the Lord send to destroy Jerusalem by plague? An angel
How did God respond to David’s offering? He order the angel to put away his sword
Where was the tabernacle located at this time? At Gibeon
What plans did David make for Solomon before he died? For the temple
For what reason did God not have David build the temple? He was a man of war and a man of blood 22:8
What did David tell Solomon to do to please God? Be careful to keep God’s laws, be strong and courageous, do not be afraid or discouraged
How much gold and silver were saved for the temple? 100,000 talents of gold, 1 million talents of silver
What did David charge the leaders of Israel to do? To help Solomon build the temple, keep God’s laws, and bring the Ark into the temple when it is finished
How many Levites served the Lord? 38,000
What was different about their responsibilities under David’s plan compared to Moses’ time (see Numbers 4)? Since they no longer had to carry the tabernacle and its holy articles, they would be set to minister at the temple, to help the priests, and to sing and play instruments
Why the difference? Because the tabernacle would not be moved any more; the temple would be a more permanent place
