Answers to May 10 Questions

Why does David praise the Lord in Psalm 9? Because He rescued him from his enemies and judged between him and his enemies

Why did David want God to rescue him? So that he might praise God

What is David’s concern in Psalm 10? The boldness of the wicked

What does the wicked man say in his heart? (There are three statements.) “I shall not be moved; I shall never be in adversity." "God has forgotten; He hides His face; He will never see." (toGod) "You will not require an account."

In Psalm 11, where is God? In His holy temple, on His holy throne

What does He do? He watches men

What destructive sin is the problem in Psalm 12? deception

At the beginning of Psalm 13, how does David feel? Abandoned by God, overwhelmed by his enemies

How does he feel at the end of Psalm 13? Why? Faith and joy because the Lord has been good to him

What does the fool say in his heart? “There is no God”

Whom does the Lord seek? For any who understand and seek Him

What accusation is made against all men in Psalm 14? All have turned aside and become corrupt; not one does good

How did David avoid idolatry? He did not drink blood as idol worshipers did or speak the idols’ names

How does God help David? He gives him counsel; he stays with him

Why does God help David? Because he puts God first always

Does 16:10 mean that David wouldn’t die? no

What is the idea here (See Acts 2:22-31)? it is a prophecy of Christ; he did die but did not remain dead
