Psalm 58

Does verse 3 teach original sin inherited from Adam? No, this is figurative language (hyperbole)

What is the contrast between man (v.1) and God (v.11)? Man is unfair in judgment; God is fair

Psalm 59

Contrast the suffering of David in Psalm 38 with Psalm 59. David suffered because of his sin and trying to keep it hidden in Psalm 38; his suffering in Psalm 59 is through no fault of his.

What did David ask God to do to his enemies? Punish them, scatter them, consume them, but not kill them

Psalm 60

What do the earthquakes symbolize? Insecurity, uncertainty, calamity in general

Contrast the tribes in verse 7 with the nations of verse 8. God happily refers to Judah, Ephraim, and Manasseh as His, but He rejects Moab, Edom, and Philistia (Israel’s enemy nations in the south)

What enemy was David asking God to help defeat? Edom

Psalm 61

How has Psalm 61 been fulfilled? The resurrection of Jesus
