A Daily Bible reading Program
This is an effort to encourage Christians to read through the Bible in one year. The order of the books is chronological rather than the arrangement of the books in our Bibles. I have tried to make the stopping place for each day to be where you would read about one basic subject. So you may read two chapters one day, and five chapters the next day. For January 1, the reading is Genesis 1-2, The Creation. January 2 will be Genesis 3-5, The Beginning of Sin and Death. January 3 will be Genesis 6-9, Noah and the Ark. January 4 will be Genesis 10-11, The Beginning of the Nations. January 5 will be Genesis 12-14, The Call of Abraham. January 6 will be Genesis 15-17, The Covenant with Abraham. January 7 will be Genesis 18-19, The Promise of Isaac. That is the first week. After completing Genesis, we read through the book of Job, then Exodus, Leviticus, Numbers, and Deuteronomy. Each day I plan on writing something about the scripture for that particular day. It is a blessing to read the scripture if we read with an open mind and an open heart to apply what we read. A little each day is much more beneficial than a lot only once a week, especially the way I have tried to separate the days' readings. I pray that your journey through the scriptures will be encouraging, refreshing, informative, and life-changing.
